Quick Heating For Mine Shafts
The FIR Hot Air Heater Unit is a reliable heating solution for mining operations. This unit uses special far-infrared heating tubes to heat the air efficiently. We have been manufacturing these units since 1996, giving us extensive experience in building dependable heating equipment.
It is important to note that this unit is not explosion-proof. For safety reasons, it must be installed in a room located at least 20 meters away from the mine shaft entrance. We want to make this requirement clear because it is the safest way to operate the FIR Hot Air Heater Unit.
How The Machine Works
The heater draws in cold outdoor air, with temperatures as low as -30°C. A fan starts and pulls the cold air into the unit. The air first passes through an upper preheating section and then enters the main heating chamber below.
This process is extremely fast. It takes only 1 to 1.4 seconds for the cold air to be heated. A centrifugal fan then delivers the heated air to the outlet. The outlet air temperature ranges from 80°C to 210°C.
The heated air travels through insulated ducts to the mine shaft, where it mixes with the incoming cold air. This process keeps the shaft temperature above 2°C at all times and helps prevent freezing.
Strong Points Of This Unit
We use specially designed double-layer quartz infrared heating tubes. The heating wire inside is made of nickel-chromium alloy (Cr20Ni80). This material can withstand temperatures of up to 1100°C and offers excellent resistance to oxidation.
The unit achieves a thermal efficiency of over 98%, which means that almost all of the consumed energy is converted into useful heat. The FIR Hot Air Heater Unit is an excellent choice for mining sites that require fast and efficient air heating.

We provide a 12-month warranty for the FIR Hot Air Heater Unit. If the unit is damaged during shipping, please take photos and contact us immediately. We will arrange a replacement or provide replacement parts as needed.
Third-party inspections are welcome. We support both OEM and ODM orders, and the minimum order quantity is one unit.
