Technical Standards For Increased Safety Electric Heaters For Mining

Jun 07, 2026 Leave a message

Mining equipment must pass multiple Level 1 safety certifications, with MT/T 1097-2008 "Increased Safety Electrical Equipment for Coal Mines" being the core standard. This standard imposes three stringent requirements on the equipment:

1. Impact Resistance Test: The equipment must withstand a free fall impact from a height of 1 meter without deformation of the outer casing or damage to internal components, ensuring it will not fail due to collisions during underground transportation or installation.

2. Corrosion Resistance Test: After immersion in a 5% sodium chloride solution for 72 hours, the corrosion depth of the outer casing must not exceed 0.5 mm, adapting to the high humidity and high salt spray environment underground.

3. Lifespan Test: After 5000 hours of continuous operation, the heating efficiency decrease must not exceed 10%, ensuring stability during long-term use.
