The correct steps for installing a mining increased safety electric heater are as follows:

 

Preparation and Inspection Before Installation

Clean the installation area: Ensure the ground is level and remove debris to prevent injury or damage to components during equipment operation.

Check equipment integrity: Verify that the equipment model and specifications meet design requirements. Check that heating pipes, junction boxes, and RTDs are intact.

Confirm power supply and interfaces: Check that the power supply voltage matches the equipment's rated voltage (e.g., 1140V or 660V). Verify the location and elevation of each pipe interface to ensure consistency with on-site construction conditions.

 

Foundation Construction and Fixing

Construct the equipment foundation: Based on the equipment dimensions and layout design, construct a cement or steel base. A height of 150-200mm is recommended to prevent water accumulation and corrosion.

Fix the equipment: Use bolts to firmly fix the heater to the base or the shaft's air supply pipeline, ensuring a stable connection and preventing vibration or displacement.

 

Component Installation and Connection

Install Heating Box: Secure the heating box to the base frame, connecting the air inlet and outlet, ensuring correct airflow direction.

Assemble Heating Tubes: Secure multiple sets of heating tubes inside the heating box, ensuring neat arrangement and avoiding contact with the box walls or other components.

Connect Junction Boxes: Symmetrically secure the junction boxes, ensuring secure electrical connections and correct wiring.

Install RTDs: Secure an intrinsically safe mining RTD on the side of the heating box near the air outlet for temperature monitoring and control.

Install Axial Flow Fan: Secure the axial flow fan at the air inlet, ensuring good ventilation.

 

Dust Screen Installation (Optional)

Secure the Dust Screen: If the equipment is equipped with a dust screen, clamp it tightly to the inner wall of the air inlet. Tighten the screw by rotating the fixing nut, ensuring the elastic part fits against the clamp, guaranteeing a stable dust screen.

Easy Removal Design: The dust screen should be easy to remove for regular cleaning of dust and debris, maintaining unobstructed ventilation.

 

Electrical Wiring and Testing

Connecting Power Cords: Connect the power cords according to the equipment wiring diagram, ensuring correct wiring and avoiding short circuits or leakage.

Checking Insulation Resistance: Use a megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between the power input terminals and the metal casing, ensuring it is not less than 2MΩ (not less than 10MΩ after normal humidity and heat testing).

Power-On Test: After confirming all connections are correct, power on the equipment for testing and check if the equipment's operating status and temperature control meet requirements.

Safety Protection and Commissioning

Setting Up Safety Protection Measures: Set up fire prevention, explosion prevention, and dust prevention safety protection measures around the equipment to ensure operator safety.

Commissioning the Equipment: Conduct no-load and load test runs, adjusting parameters to achieve optimal performance and ensuring stable and reliable equipment operation.

Displaying Maintenance Procedure Board: Display the maintenance procedure board in a prominent location in the machine room, clearly outlining safety instructions and operating procedures.

Post-Installation Inspection and Acceptance

Checking Equipment Fixation: Confirm that all components are securely fixed and free from looseness.

Checking Insulation Performance: Insulate hot air ducts and steam ducts to prevent heat loss.

Acceptance procedures: After installation, promptly complete the acceptance procedures to ensure that the equipment meets safety standards and usage requirements.
